AND I AM HERE BECAUSE IN DECEMBER, IN MY NEIGHBORHOOD ARE DRONES THAT FLY OVER MY HOUSE ABOUT A HUNDRED TIMES A DAY.

AND I DON'T RECALL EVER HEARING ANY KIND OF FORUM OR ANY KIND OF INPUT TO US AS RESIDENTS OF THE WOODS OF SPRING CREEK ABOUT THIS OCCURRING.

UM, IF IT WAS JUST ONE AN HOUR, IT WOULDN'T BE A BIG DEAL.

YESTERDAY I PULLED INTO MY DRIVEWAY AFTER VISITING MY DAUGHTER IN THE HOUSTON AREA.

AND AS I WAS UNLOADING MY CAR AT FIVE O'CLOCK IN THE AFTERNOON ON A SUNDAY, I HEARD FIVE DRONES GO OVER MY HOUSE WITHIN A THREE MINUTE PERIOD.

IT'S EXTREMELY INTRUSIVE.

I HAVE A POOL, SO I'M A LITTLE BIT CONCERNED ABOUT WHAT'S GONNA HAPPEN THIS SUMMER AS I'M IN THE POOL, 'CAUSE I'M SURE THEY HAVE CAMERAS ON THEM.

AND SO, UM, I'M NOT SURE, UM, HOW THIS EVEN GOT APPROVED TO GO RIGHT OVER OUR NEIGHBORHOOD WHEN YOU HAVE RENTER AND TELECOM AND SHILOH WOULD BE GREAT PLACES FOR THESE DRONES TO FLY BEFORE THEY DROP THEIR PACKAGES OFF.

I DON'T SEE A REASON WHY THEY NEED TO GO RIGHT OVER MY BACKYARD.

AND THE FAA SAID THAT THEY DON'T, UH, FLY LOWER THAN 100 FEET.

UH, THAT'S NOT TRUE.

I HAVE VIDEOS OF THAT.

UM, I WOULD LOVE TO INVITE YOU, MR. MAYOR, I LOVE THAT YOU HAVE THAT LUNCH WITH THE MAYOR.

SO THEY NOT ONLY FLY DOWN OUR STREET, BUT EVEN WHEN I'M WALKING AROUND OUR NEIGHBORHOOD, YOU HEAR 'EM ALL THE TIME.

AND SOMETIMES THEY COME EVERY THREE OR FOUR MINUTES EITHER GOING OUT OR COMING BACK IN.

AND I HAVEN'T HAD REALLY A CHANCE TO, TO DO VERY MUCH RESEARCH AS FAR AS WHAT THE FAA AND THE HEIGHT LIMITS AND ALL THAT.

BUT THESE THINGS ARE VERY LOUD.

UM, I'M GONNA DISCUSS ABOUT HEALTHIER TEXAS, UH, COMMUNITY CHALLENGE FOR THOSE THAT ARE NOT AWARE OF THE PROGRAM, JUST TO GIVE A LITTLE BIT BACKGROUND ABOUT IT AS WELL, JUST GO OVER THE PARTNER IN A COMMUNITY LED LEADER, UM, PLEDGE, TALK ABOUT THE WEEKLY PRIZES AND OVERALL WINNERS THAT WE'LL HAVE, UM, EARNING HOW TO EARN POINTS AND TRACK ON THE LOVELY APP THAT WE'LL HAVE THIS YEAR.

UM, THEN ALSO DISCUSS THE NEW THINGS THAT WE'RE BRINGING INTO 2026 AS FAR AS ACTIVITIES, OUR, OUR VISION OF HOW WE'RE GONNA PROMOTE THE CHALLENGE AS WELL.

UM, THE COMPETITION WILL START JANUARY 20TH THROUGH MARCH 15TH THIS YEAR.

UM, BEST THING ABOUT IT, IT'S FREE TO PARTICIPATE.

UM, AND THEN THIS IS ALSO JUST ENCOURAGED AS TEXANS, BUT THEN ALSO LET'S ENCOURAGE OUR CITIZENS, OUR RESIDENTS, UM, TO GET OUT THERE AT THE EARN POINTS BY EATING HEALTHY, BEING ACTIVE, AND STAYING HYDRATED.

UM, HEALTHIER TEXAS IS A NONPROFIT WORKING, UH, ORGANIZATION TO REDUCE, TO PREVENT, UH, PREVENTABLE DISEASES BY EMPOWERING TEXAS TO LIVE HEALTHIER LIVES THROUGH CONNECTION, EDUCATION, AND ACTION.

EACH YEAR, EVERY YEAR, TEXAS COME TOGETHER TO PRIORITIZE THEIR HEALTH, CHEER EACH OTHER ON AND BUILD HABITS THAT LAST IN 2025, THE CITY OF RICHARDSON PARTICIPANTS, WE ACCRUED OVER ONE OVER 1 MILLION 948, 675 TOTAL POINTS ACCRUED, WHICH GAVE US 10TH OVERALL, UM, 10TH OVERALL, UH, OVERALL CITYWIDE IN OUR DIVISION.

AND THEN OUR EMPLOYER CHALLENGE OUTTA 62 COMPANIES THAT PARTICIPATED.

WE PLACED, UM, 219 INDIVIDUAL PARTICIPANTS.

154 OF THOSE WERE ENGAGED AND ACTIVE.

UM, WE HAVE 367 DESTINATION CHECK-INS AND DESTINATION CHECK-INS ARE WHERE WE ENCOURAGE OUR RESIDENTS OR ANYONE WHO'S PARTICIPATING IN THE CHALLENGE TO GO VISIT OUR LOVELY PARKS OR REC CENTERS OR ANYTHING THAT IS LISTED AS A DESTINATION CHECK IN.

ONCE YOU CHECK IN, THAT IS ALSO ANOTHER WAY THAT YOU CAN ACCUMULATE AND ACCRUE POINTS.

AND THEN OF COURSE, UM, 230 PARTICIPATING COMMUNITIES ACROSS THE BOARD.

UM, SO THAT WAS THE EFFORTS THAT WE DID FOR 2025.

DEFINITELY LOOKING FORWARD TO IMPROVING THAT FOR 2026.

AND WITH THAT BEING SAID,

TO PURCHASE THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT 2251 NORTH LINVILLE DRIVE FROM BONNIE RICHARDSON, ONE LLC.

AND FURTHER AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER AND ANY ASSISTANT CITY MANAGER TO PAY THE PURCHASE PRICE AND CLOSING COSTS, SIGN DOCUMENTS, AND TAKE SUCH ACTION, TAKE SUCH OTHER ACTION AS NECESSARY TO CLOSE ON SAID PURCHASE IN ACCORDANCE WITH SAID CONTRACT.
